This extended discussion of two design projects focuses on civic possibilities for current architecture.

“Alchemical Transformation: Building into Architecture”, co-authored with Ellen Dunham-Jones, OZ - Journal of the College of Architecture and Design, The Significance of Number, Kansas State University, Volume 13, 1991. This extended discussion of a design project looks to architecture as a formal, poetic and tectonic synthesis.

-Wall Housing: Three Prototypes “, Presentation at the ACSA International Conference in Rome, Italy, May 29-June 2, 1999. The general topic of the conference is design in the contemporary city. Wall Housing, a subset of the "I 10-The gulf Coast States" research project addresses urban issues of place and proposes new sites for building and housing.

"Two Scupper Houses or The Shotgun and Dogtrot Revisited", in association with Brian D. Andrews, ACSA Annual Meeting, 1997. NATIONAL DESIGN AWARD. -first presented at the ACSA Northeast Regional meeting at Rodger Williams University in Bristol Rhode island where it was voted the best design paper at the conference, 1997.
